Lincoln Mitchell is a scholar-practitioner who has worked in political development for over two decades. His areas of expertise include political parties, civil society, elections, legislatures, and media. As an international political development consultant, he has specialized primarily in the former Soviet Union, Africa, and the Middle East on a variety of topics including elections, anti-corruption political party development, and democratization. His clients include governments, non-governmental organizations, multilateral organizations, and private businesses. Mr. Mitchell is also an accomplished scholar who teaches at Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs. He has written an extensive amount of books, journal articles, and policy briefs about democracy, US foreign policy, and political regimes.
