Senior Intentional Observer and Political Consultant with thirty’ experience in the field promoting democracy and monitoring conflict. I have trained and led multi-national teams of monitors and support staff in war zones and in many other volatile and dangerous situations across five continents. In so doing have worked with government ministers and senior civil servants, armed services, security personnel and representatives of the international press, as well as engaging with thousands of citizens from many nations. I have specialised in election and conflict monitoring for major international agencies including the United Nations, the European Union, the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe, the National Democracy Institute, and the International Foundation for Electoral Systems, as well as liaising with officials from the British Foreign Office. I have provided analysis and evaluative reports at the highest level which have contributed to the global mission for free, fair, safe, and sustainable democracy for all.
